ReplyDeleteFantastic podcast!
ReplyDeleteSuch an amazing show, thank you for putting this together!
ReplyDeleteGreat show, and I always appreciate these podcasts. They are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that struck me: each participant basically said that a large part of how they got better was through research and by talking to people in the community. I always got better at computer games just by playing them a helluva lot and have been frustrated with roguelikes because that hasn't worked out for me with this genre. I feel like I am spinning my wheels, and now maybe I know why.
Is this a problem with roguelikes or is it just me? I just feel like I should not have to go outside the game to learn how to get better.
Thank you for this show! Even though roguelikes frustrate me, and probably because they frustrate me, I love discussions about them.
